The Pet Health Network
Pet owners visiting us are discovering a completely new way to understand their pet's medical conditions and risks. They’re seeing a progression animation of how dental tartar builds up on their pet’s teeth and causes serious health problems. They’re watching a step by step home care video on how to prevent parasitic diseases or how to trim a cat’s nails. And they’re learning about the many confusing causes of their dog’s itchy skin problems, which explains why sometimes there’s no “quick fix.” This is all happening because of our new Pet Health Network touch screen and website system.
With this new technology, pet owners can see what their pets need in the way of care and nutrition, hear it from the practice team, and email the information home. The animations and health messages from Pet Health Network’s touch screens teach clients of all ages the benefits of pet care right in the exam room. Information can be emailed home for the family to review later, ensuring that the pet’s follow-up care is correct.
Huntington Veterinary Hospital is one of the first practices in the country offering pet owners this multimedia method of learning. According to our veterinarian, Dr. Gary R. White, “We invested in this system because we’re committed to continually improving health care for our patients. We love this system because it’s making a dramatic difference in helping clients learn about dangerous health risks and how to avoid them. The 3-D anatomical models make it fast and easy for us to detail injuries and surgery recommendations, and the home care videos allow pet owners to grasp key medical advice here and view it at home later as well.”
We invite all local pet owners to call us and schedule a personal demonstration of the new Pet Health Network System. Call 626-357-2335.
